A post shared online led to speculation that pop superstar Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are secretly married.
Ellie Nottoli, the event planner for Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet's wedding, revealed that Kelce and Swift were on the guest list for the event last Saturday (June 7) in a post shared on her Instagram account, which showed that "Taylor and Travis Kelce" were assigned to "Table 13."
Several social media users excitedly responded to the couple being addressed under one last name as a secret marriage, though one one user pointed out that it "is very common for couples (married and unmarried) for weddings. It’s the aesthetic."
Another user pointed out that "technically it should be Travis and Taylor Kelce" if they were sharing his last name.
The couple didn't attend Kmet's wedding as they were in Knoxville, Tennessee for Kelce's cousin Tanner Corum's wedding over the weekend, which Nottoli acknowledged in her Instagram post. The speculation came weeks after a source claimed that Kelce may soon propose to Swift after the conclusion of his NFL playing career.
“Once he is done playing [football], the conversation will be front and center,” an insider told the Daily Mail in May.
“Everyone is just waiting for Travis to ask her parents for her hand in marriage, her parents will say ‘yes,’ and they can’t wait for them to get engaged,” the source added. “Nothing seems to be imminent, but it will 100 percent happen.”
