Hand sanitizer has become a rarity with them disappearing off shelves fast but SanTan Brewing Company has found a way to combat that by turning their expired beer into medical-grade hand sanitizer. They stated that they are going to donate it first responders and hospitals.
With beer only having a short shelf life and with the overflow from restaurants being closed it was a great idea for them to turn it into something useful for the community.
With their first batch they have 16,000 gallons that they can turn into about 4-500 gallons of sanitizer.
