Kanye’s Non-Profit Says that He Refuses to Offer Financial Support

Donda's House has released a statement saying they do not agree with Kanye West

Donda's House, the non-profit organization founded following the passing of Kanye West's mother has issued a statement Saturday morning dissociating itself from the rapper. Following West's recent remarks, the organization seeks to remind the public that they do not agree with West's support for President Donald Trump. Donda's House claims that Kanye's comments are interfering with their donations and support needed to fund the youth of Chicago.

"While we cannot and do not speak for Kanye West and his views, we can and will speak up for the youth that we serve," the foundation released in a statement. "We ask that those who feel hurt, angered by or frustrated with Kanye West not penalize or throw away their support, respect and advocacy for us."

The organization is asking for people to continue focusing on the services that they provide instead of Kanye's #maga support. “We ask that those who feel hurt, angered by or frustrated with Kanye West not penalize or throw away their support, respect and advocacy for us,” they added.

"We ask that as you boycott and protest Kanye West, that you not forget that we are a non-profit organization that like other non-profits needs donations, corporate support and volunteers," Donda's House said. "We do not want your rejection of Kanye West, to be a rejection of Dr. Donda West and the thousands of lives she impacted including her own son."

According to Donda's House, the foundation plans to continue the advocacy work of the late Dr. Donda West which includes installing recording studios in High Schools to re-engage students. However, the non-profit says that Kanye has not delivered on his promise to provide financial support.

“We have been unable to secure the financial support of Kanye despite multiple attempts, and despite those early conversations about his plan of support and advocacy for the youth in our programs,” the foundation wrote. “The youth are watching, and we want them to know that despite whatever their favorite celebrities are doing, or not doing, we are here for them and we will continue to serve and uplift them.”

Donda House co-founder, Rapper Rhymefest, took to social media today to comment on their financial troubles and reach out to Drake for support.

He has asked that Drake side with Donda's House following the "Duppy Freestyle" beef that Drake is currently having the Pusha T and Kanye West.
