J Cole on Kanye West: "It felt like you just used my name for social media"

J Cole is not one to do Interviews or speak out on the controversies surrounding his albums but with the release of "KOD", Cole has found himself in the center of one of the biggest controversies on the internet. Kanye West has been the talk of the internet as of late as his rants on twitter have gone from tweeting about his upcoming fashion line to allegedly showing his support for Donald Trump

Unfortunately, J Cole was partially pulled into this conversation when Kanye West told Charlamagne Tha God that he felt that Cole was always taking shots at him referring to his previously released track "False Prophets". During Angela Yee's April 19th "Rumor Report" segmant on The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne Tha God revealed that during a conversation he had with "The Life of Pablo" rapper, he shared his thoughts about J Cole allegedly dissing him saying  "Yesterday when I was talking to Ye, we had a conversation about J. Cole, remember when J. Cole put out the 'False Prophets' record? He said that he feels like J. Cole is always dissing him in records.".

Shortly after this conversation was had and J Cole's album was released it seems as if the two rappers had a conversation to sort things out, with Kanye tweeting a screenshot of a cell phone call he was having with the North Carolina rapper. In his new sit down conversation with Angie Martinez, Cole reveals how that call went down and his dismay about Kanye tweeting out about their private conversation.

When Angie asks Cole what he personally thinks of Kanye West's twitter actions he said:

“The danger in what he’s doing is he’s using language, he’s really good at sampling language that would resonate and it just so happens this time he sampled the wrong s***, cause he thought, I can make this resonate”.

"When you empower a demographic of people whose whole intent is to suppress people, it like bro, I can’t rock with that. I have a hard time watching that, and holding my tongue."

Cole also wasn't happy with the fact that Kanye tweeted about their private phone call expressing that Kanye was the one to call him but had no idea that Kanye would take their private conversation and put it online stating that he would never do that himself. He expressed his dismay about the situation to Kanye and says he told him that what he did wasn't right. Since then the tweet has been deleted but Cole still feels that Kanye wasn't right in his actions stating:

"It felt like you just used my name for social media, it felt like it wasn't sincere"
