DOJ Tightens Rules For Sanctuary City Grants

The Justice Department is clamping down on federal grants to sanctuary cities.  The new restrictions announced yesterday include two major changes.

One gives ICE agents greater access to local jails and prisons.  Cities receiving Justice Department funding must also provide 48 hours notice before the release of any illegal immigrant wanted by federal agents.  The policy change is part of a Trump administration crackdown on illegal immigration.
